Trunk or Treat

After Cedar and I got home from his last soccer games and Jonathon had been playing Mr. Mom all day we hurried and finished up our costumes for the trunk or treat.  I had seen this neat idea for a skeleton on pintrest a month ago and had everyone but the girls on board for a family costume.  The original idea was to make everyone's, but after finding cedar and Linden perfectly wonderful skeleton jammies that they liked, I decided that a done costume was worth 10 unmade wonderful home made ones!  Good thing too since up until it was time to put on our costumes I was drying them with a blow drier!  Jonathon made the cute baby skeleton and it turned out about a million times better than the thing I had made.  (Think alien baby.)

Jonathon and I.  (With baby!)

Aspen who wanted to be a cat, not a skeleton.  (Forgive my beauty, I hadn't even looked at my hair since we left for soccer at 7:15 am...)

My cute boys!

Our skeleton family.

Olive was too busy running around getting and trading candy so I never got a picture of her.  I will be sure to get  her Wednesday before we leave the house.  She was a very cute devil!

Update in 1000 characters or less

It is my favorite time of the year again. This little guy and I spend hours and hours enjoying the little bit cooler weather and reduced humidity.

We are winding down the last week of soccer for Cedar and beginning gymnastics for Olive and basketball for Jonathon. (He joined a rec league team his company is sponsoring.) It seems to be a fair trade, Cedar practiced Tues. and Thurs. nights and we'll trade Tuesday soccer for basketball and Thursday soccer for gymnastics. I am guessing Jonathon will have games on Saturdays, so until he starts we will fill our free Saturdays with birthday parties for our up and coming 12 and 8 year olds!

Aspen is really enjoying preparing for the state beta club competition. She stays after school on Tuesday and Thursdays to practice. (Although I get the feel that it is equal parts practice and equal parts hang out with some of her favorite people from school!)

Cedar has his first basketball game Monday. And little #5 and I just keep getting bigger!

Wee Play Zoo!

Olive had a Dr. apt. this morning in Koxville. Looks like we are back on daily meds for asthma. She wasn't really bad but the Dr. thought that for the winter we would be better off with them. Since we were already in Knoxville and she was already out of school we thought lunch at the zoo would be fun. It was raining so we are hanging out at the kiddie play area of the zoo. Olive built this cool house with the huge tinker toys!
