Jonathon turned 40 today! Happy birthday! There were soccer clinics in the morning so we headed to Bluff fort in the afternoon. It's always fun to see the way history like this is preserved. The kids favorite thing was the grapes growing on trellises that were perfect for picking and eating. Yum! They also were giving away produce from the fort garden. We got some interesting kinds of squash and a few cucumbers. After we ate at twin rock cafe were Jonathon had a Navajo taco, olive had pizza on fry bread and I had a roast beef sandwich on fry bread. Cedar and Aspen stuck with the safe cheeseburger and Linden pretty much had applesauce. It was a fun little birthday outing! Happy Birthday Jonathon!

Friday was a short school day so we played outside and went to the park. Em went to the temple but because I had told her the wrong time she had to go back later that night. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and enjoyed a nice evening.

While the kids were at school Emily and I took the kid to see the new exhibit at the dinosaur museum. King Kong was their favorite. The came home pounding their chests calling "ahhhh ahh a ahh!" We went and saw jonathon at work then had lunch with him. That evening Em babysat so Jonathon and I could go to the temple together!

Thursday was the first day of school! Woo hoo!

Wednesday I took Emily on the tour of Monticello. She was very impressed... The boys loved seeing Mater and Sarge so we stopped for a photo shoot. (They weren't giving out autographs.)

Emily and her kids came to visit Tuesday. We met them in Moab and did a little bit of exploring in Arches. Emily hadn't ever been. We hiked with the kids to double arch. It's a great hike for 2 moms and 7 kids! Em hadn't seen delicate arch either. We chose the overlook over the hike. (Go figure!) I can't believe how different delicate arch looks from there. It actually looks delicate.
