Project life

For my birthday, Marie got me project life. The idea of the whole thing is that you take a picture every day for a year and write a little something about it. It’s pretty simple, the hard work of matching and cutting is already done. I want to do it for a few reasons. First, it’s my journal this year. Or more like my family’s journal. It will help me to get some of my pictures developed, and recording even just a sentence a day is a lot better in the keeping a personal / family history than I have been doing in a long time.

Have any of you done this? Or done something similar? Did you make it the whole year?

Afet you mentioned Project Life when you were in town, I checked it out online. It looks pretty cool and I was even tempted to copy you, because I have not printed a picture in 5 years now. My only fear is that I wouldn't be able to limit myself to one picture and one sentence a day, but I am so excited to see how the whole thing comes together.

Then get you a Wasabi by Dell. It's this tiny printer, prints business card size pics. You just beam a cell phone picture to the wasabi and it prints. Has a peel-off-the-back sticky stuff if you want also. Tony--er Santa--got me one for Christmas. Helen saw it and ordered one within about 5 minutes. Everyone at work wants one. Coolest thing ever!! Don't know the range, but Tony printed from his cell phone across the living room. Way cool!
But have I ever tried anything like this? Remember, I'm the one who "never took pictures of me when I was a kid". I took pictures, but probably still have the undeveloped rolls of film lying in a box somewhere! PS--I didn't realize that Em was signed in, so THIS IS NOT EMILY--IT'S MOM!!

Stephanie's (Bill's wife) sister did this last year for each of her children and herself and her husband (that's a lot of journaling) but Stephanie said it was really very awesome to have an entire year, day by day, documented with pictures. Not sure I'd do it every year, but am definitely tempted to try it some time. After the kitchen gets finished. And the living room, and the yard, and the....
